Capturing Motion (.Gif) ~ Sequence Assignment
Me and my un-official Dig. Pho. partner (Jennica Srey) were exploring the art area for a perfect subject for or capturing motion sequence. We were dead in the water with no ideas, when it occurred to me the new addition in the cafeteria. Recently they added in a vending machine and it popped in my head that the 1.25$ charge for a quarter filled bag of chips was worth the opportunity to make an amazing sequence. Upon entering the code to receive my snack i held down the button to my D3100 and had it set to shoot continuously and a fairly fast shutter speed. The result was 6 frames of a bag of chips being vended out of the machine and a satisfied stomach. The best way to take a sequential gif animation is by setting the camera to continuous shooting, which means it continually takes pictures of the subject matter. After resizing them in Photoshop CS3 and grouping them together by layers, i was able to animate them into this GIF.
