Night Photos
I took these photos using the night landscape setting on my point and shoot camera. Using the Night setting can be very interesting but also incredibly frustrating. The way the night setting works is that the camera evaluates the amount of light in the camera's view and adjust the shutter speed based on the amount of light it sees. The reason this can be frustration is because during dark situations, the camera uses a long shutter speed meaning that the slightest movement in the camera during its shutter can make the whole picture turn out blurry. Most of these pictures were taken while the camera was resting on an object to reduce camera shake. Another interesting thing about the night mode is the ability to distort light. In the first picture, a car drove by as the shutter was still taking light in which is why you can see a line of red (brake lights) and you can see portions of the car at some parts of the picture.
