Double Exposures
Double Exposures proved to be a very exciting assignment, combining both pictures we have already taken and or skills on photshop, we created a whole new dimension to our photos...literally. My first two double exposures look very similair but only one key element seperates them apart. In the first one, i made the mistake of flipping the image of the birds as to appear in the reflection of the water because on the background picture the sky reflects on the water and then another layer with a picture of two birds (taken in relitively the same area) is placed on top of it. Even though pictures 1 and 2 are actually triple exposures, the third layer only consisted of the birds reflecting in the water to provide an accurate setting. My third picture was inspired by Nicole Souza, who for some odd reason, really despised Inuksuk statues (formation of rooks that form the figure of a human which in Canadian Indian tribes it’s a sign of peace and safety) so I took a picture of her on my first year studio portrait tab and out a picture of an Inuksuk that my friend and I constructed and came up with the product which I like to call "Inukole." Over all this assignment brought a whole new level of creativity into my photos and now some of the photos I take I take so that i can make them into double exposures because its simple and the outcome is very satisfying.
